Troll Shadow Hunter (Warcraft)

Hi again.

Update: Added background and blue fiery effects and eyes etc.

Not sure bout the background or the final yet though but this is what I have so far. Probably needs more fixes and texturing work but anyhow I could go back and forth changing things forever without ever being satisfied fully so  … here goes

EDITED: check last post.[

I would just adjust the light to coincide with the background and call it a day. Its already a great sculpt.

Really great work Darukin!!! :+1: :sunglasses: :+1:

Amazing model and render. I love final comp; looks like something you might see for the game’s box art.
Did you start with a base mesh or is this purely and ZB sculpt?
Also, how did you create the firey effects? Just some fancy tablet work in photoshop?

Looks gr8! dont know where you could take it from here, its already a very impressive image.

i think it looks good but what I dont like is that its not dynamic. I dont like the angle. if you used the perspective tool. or tried another more intersting angle it would be more interesting

Hi guys thanks for replies and glad u liked it

The base mesh was basically superaverage man in Zbrush that I transposed then took to silo in low res to change feet / hands then reimported and sculpted etc.

Armor pieces were all base meshes all simple ones box-modeled in Silo but all sculpted fully in Zbrush.

Fiery effects were all done as post-work in Photoshop

Thanks for comments

beautiful work … great effort :+1:

Thanks again guys.

I updated this one last time.

One version has rain effects and other one doesnt, not sure which is better or which to keep though.

In any case I just post both and call it a day I guess.

Thanks all. I think i’ll just call it finished for now.

Yeah, this needs to be on the top row.

Interesting style, the rain image is the better, as the one without rain looks plastic-ish. I do love the bad juju this fella is working up!

To help you focus attention, the dark ares should be darker in both scenes, it will help ‘pop’ things out.

Fantastic job, great model and image !

Alright final fixes based on some critiques from here and there.

Firstly left foot toe was too huge, secondly lighting and contrsast had problems etc and I just made few fixes and adjustments and this I hope is ultimate final. Sorry if I’m being annoying always going back and forth with this lol. I decided version with rain is the better one definitely

Nice one!

I love the fiery effects with the blade and voodoo doll lol.

Really cool :+1: !

great job :+1:

awesome! the tweaks really set it off, did you create the rain in photoshop?

Thanks everyone

And yeah the rain I did in photoshop, it was actually a really fast technique, if you want a tutorial I could post it here maybe.

A quick little tutorial would be fantastic! you rock Darukin

Hi, ok here goes Capital G:

Rain Tutorial (Photoshop): Right, with your image, first create a new layer. In this new layer, with just the default black fore color and white back color selected, press the Filter -> Render -> Clouds button. [![Clouds.jpg|278x244](upload://qVgNfoneLWl9cqQLrU7DUuPhlxK.jpeg)]![RainTut6.jpg|370x446](upload://xFxrPjecjSA8Ttp9SCBG7zFqr0y.jpeg) Also, depending on what you want you can adjust other such values here to your satisfaction but these are the main ones. Then, using this brush, and with your layer set to an opacity approximately between 50 and 60 %, and a small brush size, start painting against surfaces, making it more clear on surfaces that need it such as metallic surfaces etc. This brush gives a rain bounce and spray effect. Play around with it, changing brush size here and there, settings, playing with blend modes being creative etc. And that’s all there is to it. Easy, no? I hope this helps and I hope it’s not a bad technique. If something's not clear please let me know.
