Stargate (1994) - Bastet guard wip (nudity)

Updating the lowres body. Eyelashes and teeth are coming.
Texture: Only the eyebrow was taken from a photo, the rest is painted.
Normal map was calculated in Max using the highres Zbrush sculpt.
Rendered with vray. Simple standar shader, no ssss.

Lowres teeth added, now working on textures.
Standard shader, no sss. (1 diffuse + 1 specular + 1 reflection maps)

Oh my god! Im so excited with every little alteration to this sculpt! keep up the great work!

Showing her teeth (still wip). I started to build a facial rig…

I like the teeth they look very nice. I think you should give more volume to the upper part of the skull. have a look at some bald references.
Also the shoulders seem very undefined. Looks almost like she is wearing a coat.

overall very nice.

The helmet is about 80% done. Still need to do color corrections and refining to the textures. Oh, and the main helmet object is still missing.
Viewport shots in Max using ‘3point shader lite’.

Stunning work kidder! cant wait to see more…

I agree, that’s looking great to be a realtime model. Nice work!

Very nice job…well done

Hat Dang! Very nice work sir, and thanks for documenting your progress!

I really love the "painted on"look for the gold highlights, and your topology work is cool to see too.

That helmet is awesome.

Thanks guys!
Updated: The actual helmet got into place and the textures + shader has been tweaked (more to come).
Again, this is a 3ds Max viewport shot (using 3point shader lite), no Photoshop post work on it (except text).

Great stuff. Love the details.

the helmet is looking great, nice atention to details, kind of high tri count though…

I just wonder how did u add the gradient in the background, not really sure about it, photoshop? texture? max map?

Thank you!

henriquedw: The tri count now is 7300. I think it’s ok.
(you see 13820 on the previous shots because there were 2 helmets in the scene)
The background is an image done in Photoshop. It’s loaded as viewport background.

Very nice piece. The Stargate movie is awesome and this looks like it would have fit right in
Good show - keep it up!

I’ve been loving this project as you’ve worked on it. Gorgeous work. I’m really surprised you’re going to the effort to render in another package, though. The BPR render in ZBrush 4 will give you results that are as good as – if not better than – what you’ve shown so far!

I am absolutely in awe of that model, freakin fantastic.
Full marks!

[color=Wheat]aurick: Thank you! :slight_smile:
Since this is going to be a realtime character, will be animated and sent into Unreal Engine, I present it as a realtime model should be presented. Game developer companies are looking for that kind of presentation I presume.

Z4 may have great render abilities but for me it's *the* tool to create highres models for normal (or displacement) map generation and to paint base color textures (and of course, sculpt for fun). :+1:
So If you'd ask me what I'd like to have in Z5, I would give Z4's BPR render for features we could use for production in gamedev or vfx.

Started to work on the clothing. Well… I consider that ‘necklace’ part of the clothing and not the helmet itself.
Anyway, more to come.
