Sea Rex

It’s really a shame that so much of the beautiful surface detail is obscured once the color maps are applied. Not many ways around it though, unfortunately.

Love the eye texture.

what you say is true… But no problem, the surface details is still here and not obscured by color maps!
It’s just a question of render.

On those WIPs, a “plain” render was chosen, specially for scientific validation, to concentrate for instance on the colors inside the mouth and the implantation of teeth.

Soon, we’ll post pictures with a render showing both the detail surface and colors! .
We also hope to be able to show pictures from the movie “Sea Rex” as soon as possible…

Here are 2 pictures from the teaser “Searex” directed by Ronan Chaplain and Pascal Vuong and produced by N3D LAND Productions.

“Searex” will be presented for the next International Congress of the IMAX in Vancouver at the end of September (category: Films in production).

Sylvia,

Excellent work overall on your Rhamphorhynchus. I’m floored by the execution. Email me for an image (sculpture) that may help with the final tweaks on the anatomy. Contact me offline for questions.
