Add a sprinkle of black fog so the hands are not so flat on the faces.
You know, switch on fog but dont use white but black as fog color. Or dark red… muhahahaha. Low intensity is enough for efect.
Looking creepy

Hi Ron
Ok I got a few minutes, between cooking dinner. and then off to work.
Ok I’ve taken your image and cropped into one of the heads It’s very fuzzy as I’ve upsampled the crop, to emphasise what I mean. Basicly, if you recreated the same set up, but jsut used one head as the central piece. keep the texture exactly the same as i feel this is partly what would make it.
I always use a photographic tech, when compositing images whic is called the rules of third technique an explanation can be read here.
So with that in mind, if you where to take the wall image and crop in close to emphasise the details of just one head, you would gain a more impacting image. The head I cropped to, i selected for it off angleness therefor bringing the eye and other features in to The Rule of thirds.
Which make th image pleasing to the eyes, of the viewer.

As i said the the texturing looks great, all that cracked clay appearance so I would keep that as well as the gey/blue scale colouring. sharp contrast. as an idea to get a vivid image you could then bring in a trickle of blood comming from the eye’s The red would complement the contrast with the greyscale tones of ther overal image. you can also darken the edges to bring even more emphasis towards the main focal feature.
Ok maybe I’m waffleing off here. Hope this helps and I’m not stating something obviouse, and youre skills here are advancing greatly, Keep it up
and I really like your last twisted twin post with the hands added. Again, look for the rule of thirds. You will be amazed at how much dynamics it can add to an image.

Wanted to paint one of my heads up with Photo textures of food tonight…see what kind of weird results I could get…didn’t go exactly as planned…and I didn’t like how the blood ended up showing on his mouth…used holiday foods as the textures …cooked turkey and chicken and some raw chicken and a casserole dish of broccoli for the one eye… bone lickin good ;)might try this again…we had a recent Zombie from another user on zbc that I really liked and he was all bruised colors etc…don’t remember the thread name (sorry) but I love the work and it was inspirational… did color adjustments after baking…that is one of the reasons for the darkness…
thnx
ron

I liked this article on composition.

Ron he looks great, can you explain more on how you used the food images to texture him. I really like the effect.
Hmm Blood on skin, it’s not the easist to get right, I’m still playing around to try and get the right effect.
the eyes look great too, Another area i need to improve on, I’ve tried for that smoky blind eye look, never been satisfied wi the results. can you explaine how you achieved them.
Holy crap Ron!! This is great stuff. It is quite gory, which is not my preferred liking, but geesh this is good. I especially like around the right eye. Could we see the food textures? I hope that the whole thing is not a picture of your food. Do you like your steak rare?
Great stuff Ron!!
Brilliant,I needed a new direction in texture creation! No one’s eating in my house until the digicam has flashed lol!!Fantastic Ron,cheers!!
oops…having those shaky feelings again…I need Gore-age…and we aint talking Al Gore
I will post the food textures soon.
This little wip below happened while experimenting with the hide mesh options…seemed like the right thing to do…This is just the beginning…I will post the textures and give further explainations of how I paint and texture with those pics…pretty easy stuff…but for now I leave you with this.
thnx for wink wink lookin…lol
HI Ron
good to see your still adding to this thread, like the concept and look forward to seeing your food textures.
have you thought about adding some muscles to the skull?
Well I’m jumping aroun at the moment screaming dowqn phones at stupid automated phone systems trying to get my new 19" monitor delivered. Argh why don’t comapanys have humans answering phones thes days!!
Finished that book World War Z, definatley recomend it to you, creeped me out in places you almost get a sense that it was a real event when you read it.
Oh and I posted my latest piece, if you missed it top of my links “Tribe of Manu”

wo wth hell ron, i was laughing mao when i found this thread this morning:D
very cool and a huge improvement for you!
i liked the frank n steinish face with the glossy fleshy tone.
but all the others were cool too,
how about a beach made with silver dead people apearing as the sand on the shoreline with snakes slithering between the creases of the bodies with a huge tribal symbol floating over the ocean and people walking into the water single file.
that would be down your ally:lol:
Hi Ron,I agree ! …great to see you’ve continued here.I really like most of your food results and your latest creation is off the wall cool.Flicking back through yout words of wisdom I think your too hard on yourself! I enjoy a great deal of your creations and find alot of inspiration from you, infact you know zb onoly came to light for me because of your heads!!!Thanks mate,Looking forward to more from you as ever!!!

no crits till the fat lady sings lol…
o I feel the love…thnx guys
little update…worked on it a bit more last night Snakehook brushing some stringy-ness goo …and yes I now plan to do more goryfying the skull…
The muscles on the skull would add realism and I may redo this and put the muscles on…but…originally the idea came to me like this…if you split the mind of a 3d model open, like a walnut, what would you have? What lurks in the mind of the model…silly idea but that happens to me constantly…lol…and I was going to texture the face parts and leave it pretty simple, but now you went and done it…lol so I am going to redo this and go for a more ominous and onerous look…I started thinking, the skin would not be so clean sliced etc…all the little nuances…I will still use this piece as a scribble to work my mind thru some details for the re-do…
thnx yall
Ron
a few drippies…

also, there is actually a textured tongue inside…
how about a beach made with silver dead people apearing as the sand on the shoreline with snakes slithering between the creases of the bodies with a huge tribal symbol floating over the ocean and people walking into the water single file.
that would be down your ally
getting a vivid mental image, ace, would the people be walking in the the ocean be alive or dead? Or going into the water to become alive again?
I will also be looking for that zombie war book this week…I am on chapter 8 of City of the Dead by Brian Keene…might be up yall’s ally as well…I bought all 3 of his books …I guess that is all he has out right now…Ghoul, City of the Dead, and Conqueror Worms…City of the Dead is the first one I am reading…theya rent the typical zombie stereotypes…so that was kewl too…
Loving Tribe of Manu, Panstar. I was on my way out the door and had done a refresh and saw it …didnt have time at that moment to comment. I didn’t want to rush my comments…but I want to look at it again this evening…The tribal alien idea is very intriquing. And who’s to say Et’s didn’t mate with prehistoric man? I am still waiting on the missing link, to confirm or more solidify the theory of evolution…but that is a whole nuther’ story all together.

what made him crack and this apears to be a few seconds after his colapse. what was the weapon where was he and what would be his emotion on his face
(sorry didnt completely throuroghly(sp) read your previous post))
yes the people on the beach are dead, but slightly moving so, and the people that are walking into the tribal sign are alive kinda, enough to walk into water along the actual earths surface, until they are sumerged to die and then rise their soul into the floatin symbol is what i meant
got disconnected…let’s try this again…
when you load the texture below, save it as Dijon_Turkey.bmp
I am assuming the script will be looking for that file name.
The script shows this little image start to finish…using the turkey pic to texture with… did some light adj and render adj and saved the file once during the session or rather the .ztl…
if it doesnt work for you just let me know and I will try to fix it or make another…
enjoy
Ron

Trying two things so far with this one…POV and a new figure I am putting together. Took a break from working on the model to play with the POV. Finding it a bit hard with Z to do that…
the trees are trees off the “tree model” thread.
The ground is an old model I made using an alpha plane.
The leaf’s/ leaves are leaves I scanned a loooooong time ago, black background, turned to a texture, transparent chosen to hide the black, and simply dragged out and resized on individual alpha planes…nothin fancy
Have a great President’s Day. Time for bed.
G’nite,
Ron

nice work ron i like the perspective on the last one a lot.
cool.
Hey Ron I really like the stylized character and the background, I think the trees need work.
